Black Krrsantan is a Wookiee bounty hunter created by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca, with editors Jordan D. White and Heather Antos, and introduced in Marvel's Darth Vader #1 (February 2015).
The design premise is a corrective. Forty years of Star Wars had produced exactly one famous Wookiee, and a great many readers had quietly generalised from him. Krrsantan is a gladiator turned contract killer with gold-plated bracers, a black coat of fur and no interest whatsoever in being anybody's co-pilot.
He recurs through the Marvel line, most substantially in the Doctor Aphra series, and made the jump to live action in The Book of Boba Fett (2021) — an unusual trajectory for a character invented for a comic six years earlier.
