Darra Thel-Tanis, also known as Darra Haariden, is a human Jedi padawan introduced in Jude Watson's Jedi Quest: The Way of the Apprentice (Scholastic, 2002), apprenticed to Master Soara Antana and part of the four-padawan group — with Anakin Skywalker, Ferus Olin and Tru Veld — that the series follows.
She is written as the group's warmest member and its best lightsaber technician, and the books use her death, later in the series, as the event that hardens the rivalry between Anakin and Ferus into something neither of them recovers from. Legends young-readers fiction is often assumed to be consequence-free; Jedi Quest is a standing counter-example.
