Hurst Romodi is a human Imperial general from Virujansi, a Clone Wars veteran and one of the Empire's founding generals. He appears in A New Hope (1977) played by Ian Selby and was recast with Andy de la Tour for Rogue One (2016), where he watches the superlaser test over Jedha City and co-ordinates the Imperial response at Scarif.
He had retired before Grand Moff Tarkin recalled him to the Death Star project. Remarkably, he survived the destruction of the station at Yavin — unlike Tarkin — and was still serving under Admiral Piett aboard the Executor at Endor four years later, which he also survived. The New Republic historian Beaumont Kin recorded him as having died at Yavin, an error that says something useful about how much of Imperial history was reconstructed from incomplete files.
