Ranzar "Ran" Malk is a mercenary broker played by Mark Boone Junior, running an operation out of a derelict space station in The Mandalorian. He assembles the crew — Migs Mayfeld, Xi'an, Burg and the droid Q9-0 — for a prison-ship heist, and brings Din Djarin in as the pilot on the strength of an old working relationship.
The relationship is the joke: Ran greets Din warmly, reminisces about past jobs, and has already decided to have him killed once the job is done. He is the counter-example to Greef Karga — a broker with no guild, no protocol and no reputation to protect.
