Waxer is a trooper of the 212th Attack Battalion, introduced with Boil in "Innocents of Ryloth", first broadcast on 6 March 2009. He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
The episode is the series' first serious argument that the clones are people. Scouting the abandoned town of Nabat, Waxer and Boil find an orphaned Twi'lek child, Numa, and Waxer — over Boil's objections — refuses to abandon her. She leads them to the civilians the Separatists are holding as a living shield. It is the moment The Clone Wars stops being a war show about droids.
