Darth Scabrous is the Sith Lord who runs the academy on Odacer-Faustin in Joe Schreiber's Legends horror novel Red Harvest (Del Rey, 2010), a prequel to his earlier Death Troopers. His species and homeworld are not established.
His pursuit of eternal life requires a Murakami orchid and a living test subject; the ritual kills the apprentice Wim Nickter, who then gets back up. The infection takes the academy in a single night and takes Scabrous with it. The book is a straightforward siege-horror novel wearing Star Wars, and it is the only place on either shelf where Sith alchemy is used to make something the Sith cannot control. Star Wars Legends.
