Jessika Pava is a human female X-wing pilot of the Resistance, a native of the planet Dandoran, played by Jessica Henwick in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). She flies in the assault on Starkiller Base as part of the squadron under Poe Dameron.
Like several of the sequel trilogy’s pilots, her characterisation happens mostly off-screen — in Marvel’s Poe Dameron ongoing series, which had two years to establish Black Squadron as a unit with internal politics rather than a row of helmets. It is a straightforward demonstration of what the comics line is for.
