Odan-Urr is a Draethos Jedi Master, a long-lived scholar who preferred reading to fighting and was nonetheless a master of battle meditation. As a Padawan in 5000 BBY he had visions of the coming Sith invasion, could not persuade the Galactic Senate, and fought at Kirrek anyway with the armies of Empress Teta behind him.
He then spent the next thousand years building and curating the Great Jedi Library on Ossus, which makes him the closest thing this era has to an institutional memory. Exar Kun killed him for a Sith holocron in 3996 BBY, shortly before Ossus itself was destroyed. The name survived into current canon: Odan-Urr is one of the Jedi who annotated the sacred texts that turn up in The Last Jedi.
