Peccati Syn is a human Grand Admiral from Taris, one of the twelve promoted in 2 BBY, and a Star Wars Legends character named in "Who's Who: Imperial Grand Admirals", Star Wars Insider 66 (2003). He was brought up in the pacifist Sacred Way and abandoned it when the Empire banned religious practice on Taris, joining the Imperial Navy and rising on tactical ability.
After the Empire's collapse he went looking for the faith he had traded away and found the Church of the Dark Side, attaching himself to the Prophetess Merili on Kashyyyk. Eight months after Endor the New Republic moved on the planet. Deceived by agents posing as representatives of an Imperial warlord, and unaware that two of his cruisers had been sabotaged, Syn engaged Admiral Ackbar's fleet and was caught in a Mon Calamari crossfire. His Star Destroyer Silooth was destroyed with him, his crew and Merili aboard.
