Savina Besatrix "Sav" Malagán is a Kyuzo Jedi Master born around 397 BBY, stationed at the Jedi Temple on Takodana. She fights with two purple-bladed lightsabers and a Kyuzo war shield — a design Daniel José Older got to specify himself, which he noted was a first for him.
As a young Padawan she rebelled and ran with Maz Kanata's pirate crew at the Battle of Jedha, which is why she is one of the few Jedi in the era with genuine underworld standing. She and Kanata later raise the infant Qort between them before sending him to the Order. Older has called her the most formidable Jedi he has written.
