Qort is an Aloxian Jedi from Zav Alox, one of the three Padawans at the centre of Daniel José Older's IDW comic The High Republic Adventures alongside Lula Talisola and Farzala Tarabal. As a child he was left at Maz Kanata's door and raised by Kanata and Sav Malagán before being sent to the Order.
He trains aboard the Padawan academic cruiser Star Hopper under Yoda, Kantam Sy and Torban Buck, and is masked, near-silent and enormously capable — a piece of character design that works far better in comics than it would in prose. He grew visibly across the run and its 2023 relaunch, which is rarer in Star Wars serials than it should be.
