Yupe Tashu is a human adviser to Emperor Palpatine, introduced in Chuck Wendig's Aftermath (Del Rey, 2015). He had no Force ability of his own; what he had was scholarship and belief — a historian of the dark side and a Sith cultist in a court that mostly ran on ambition.
He sat on the Imperial Future Council on Akiva, was captured when the New Republic broke up that summit, and was sprung from custody by Gallius Rax. He then led the Acolytes of the Beyond in secret while working toward the Contingency. At Jakku he accompanied Rax to the Observatory with a load of Sith artefacts, expecting to be part of what came next, and Rax threw him into the borehole running down to the planet's core. The artefacts he was carrying triggered the chain reaction that nearly destroyed Jakku.
