Zallah Macri is a Soikan Jedi Master who heads the Temple outpost at Port Haileap and trains the Pantoran Padawan Kevmo Zink. In 382 BBY the pair are sent to Dalna to trace a stolen Force artefact, the Rod of Seasons, and walk into the compound of the Path of the Open Hand.
Both die there, killed by the Nameless creature the Path calls the Leveler. Macri is a skilled duellist — the novel gives her a sparring scene in which she trips her apprentice telekinetically mid-exchange — and none of it is any use, which is precisely the point the Nameless exist to make.
