IDW restarted its all-ages anthology at number one with a new format — one two-part lead story, one villain-led back-up — and Francesco Francavilla painting every cover.
Fourteen issues between 7 October 2020 and 9 February 2022, plus the 2020 and 2021 annuals. The relaunch swapped the first series’ Tales from Wild Space back-ups for "Tales of Villainy" and gave the whole run a single cover artist in Francesco Francavilla. It ended when IDW’s Star Wars licence did.
