Octa Ramis is a human Jedi Knight from Chandrila, introduced in Michael A. Stackpole's Dark Tide II: Ruin (Del Rey, 2000) during the Yuuzhan Vong war. She was trained not by Luke Skywalker personally but by Kam and Tionne Solusar — which is the quiet point of her existence.
By the New Jedi Order series the Order has a staff, a syllabus and graduates who have never met its founder socially. Octa Ramis is one of them: competent, unglamorous, and thrown into the worst war the New Republic ever fought. Legends produced a great many characters like her, and an encyclopedia is the right place to record that the second generation existed at all.
