Satal Keto is a human noble of Empress Teta, cousin of Aleema Keto, and co-founder of the Krath. The pair steal a Sith text from a Republic museum, work through it without a teacher, and turn a circle of bored aristocrats into a functioning dark side order. He appears in Dark Horse's Tales of the Jedi.
The Krath are the most underrated idea in the line: not fallen Jedi and not an ancient empire, but privileged amateurs who found the material and had the resources to act on it. Satal and Aleema overthrow the Tetan monarchy shortly before the Great Sith War. Star Wars Legends.
