Asgar Ro is an Evereni and the father of Marchion Ro. He was first mentioned in Light of the Jedi and appears in flashback in Cavan Scott's The Rising Storm (2021), with his first pictured appearance in the 2022 Marvel comic The High Republic: Eye of the Storm 1.
In 252 BBY he killed his mother Shalla Ro over the pace of Nihil expansion and took the title Eye of the Nihil for himself, then grew the organisation rapidly by exploiting the hyperspace Paths generated by the captive Mari San Tekka. He was killed in 242 BBY by a disgruntled Lourna Dee, and his son kicked him while he was dying — a scene the initiative uses to establish exactly what kind of family this is.
