Salacious B. Crumb is a Kowakian monkey-lizard who sits on Jabba the Hutt's dais. StarWars.com describes a creature "with a shrill cackle" who spent his time "stealing bits of food and mimicking the Hutt, his courtiers, and visitors", tolerated as "the palace's unofficial court jester" because his antics amused his master and because of "his unwavering support" for him.
He is a piece of world-building disguised as a gag. A court with a jester is a court, and Crumb's presence does more to establish Jabba as a sovereign holding an audience than any of the guards do. He dies aboard the sail barge, still on the job.
