Mae-ho Aniseya is a human Force user, twin to Osha, and the acolyte of the title in the Disney+ series The Acolyte (2024). She was played by Amandla Stenberg, who played both sisters.

Created rather than born

The series' central premise is that the twins were made — brought into being through the Force by their mother, Aniseya, using a vergence on the planet Brendok, and raised inside a coven of witches. That origin is what draws four Jedi to the planet, and what happens next is the whole plot.

A revenge with the facts wrong

Mae spends the series hunting the four Jedi she holds responsible for the destruction of the coven, working for a master she has never seen. The series' structure withholds the actual events of that night until late and then shows them from a second angle, which is a genuinely well-built piece of construction whatever one thinks of the rest.

Sister as mirror

Because the sisters are two halves of one creation, the story keeps them substitutable — the Jedi cannot reliably tell them apart, and by the end neither can the audience be certain which of them is standing where. That is the point Qimir is making when he takes one and discards the other.

Canon status

Canon, created for the 2024 series. The coven on Brendok are witches in the Dathomirian tradition but the series is careful not to identify them as Nightsisters.
