Sylvar is a Cathar Jedi Knight, trained on Dantooine by Vodo-Siosk Baas alongside her mate Crado and the student who becomes Exar Kun. She was created by Kevin J. Anderson and appears throughout the later Tales of the Jedi arcs.
Her thread is unusually honest for a 1990s Star Wars comic: she fights the Great Sith War, loses Crado to Kun's corruption, and then has to deal with a rage that the Order's teachings tell her is a fatal flaw and which she cannot simply put down. A robe said to have belonged to her can be found in Knights of the Old Republic II, forty years further on.
