Paid Media

Paid media connected to revenue.

Clicks, click-through rate and cost per lead are still real numbers and we still manage them. They are just not the layer where the money is decided. Bluefrog evaluates paid media on qualified calls, bookings, completed jobs, sales and revenue.

Two Layers of Measurement

The operating layer, and the evaluation layer.

One tells you how the account is running. The other tells you whether the business is better off.

The operating layer is the familiar one: impression share, click-through rate, quality signals, conversion rate, cost per click, cost per lead. Those metrics are how you diagnose an account. If click-through collapses on a service line, something is wrong with the message or the match. If cost per click doubles, competition or structure changed. We manage all of it, carefully.

But an ad account cannot promote itself to the evaluation layer, because it does not have the data. It never learns that 40% of the calls it generated were not service opportunities, or that the ones that were qualified went unbooked, or that one campaign produced small jobs and another produced replacements. Judging media on cost per lead means treating every lead as identical. They are not, and everyone in the business already knows it — the knowledge just never makes it into the bidding.

Bluefrog closes that gap by integration rather than by opinion. We connect the ad platforms, the call system and the operational system — ServiceTitan, a CRM, a booking system, a database — so that a click can be followed to a completed job. Once that join exists, the evaluation layer becomes computable. See Revenue Intelligence for how the operational side is wired.

Channel Comparison

Same cost per lead. Different businesses.

This is the table that changes budget decisions — and the one most reporting cannot produce, because it requires operational data.

Illustrative data shown to demonstrate the structure of the analysis. Not a client result. Revenue per lead expressed in dollars.

Volume is not value

In the illustration above, the channel producing the most leads produces the least revenue. Optimizing to cost per lead would push budget in exactly the wrong direction.

Low volume can be high value

A campaign with fewer, harder-won leads can carry the highest revenue per lead. Judged on CPL alone it looks expensive; judged on revenue it may deserve more budget.

Qualification is a channel property

The share of leads that are real opportunities varies enormously by channel. That ratio is measurable once call intelligence is reading every conversation.

BUDGET ALLOCATION DECISION

Budget Allocation Intelligence

Move money on evidence.

Budget allocation is the highest-leverage decision in paid media and it is usually made on instinct, platform recommendations, or last month's cost per lead. With the join in place it becomes an analysis: which campaigns, service lines, geographies, devices and dayparts produce booked and completed work, at what acquisition cost, at what revenue per lead, and how that has been trending.

The loop closes at the bottom of the diagram. Booked jobs and revenue events are fed back to the platforms as offline conversions, so automated bidding optimizes toward completed work instead of toward raw form submissions. The machine learning inside Google and Meta is good — it is only as good as the signal you give it. Most accounts are training their bidding on the wrong outcome.

Beyond attribution, there is correlation. Attribution says a specific lead produced a specific job. Business analysis asks what happens to total revenue when total lead volume moves, whether revenue per lead declines as volume scales, and whether paid media stabilizes demand when organic search softens. Bluefrog's AI business analysis supports both readings, because both are true and neither alone is enough.

Marketing Efficiency

Spend more is not the only lever.

Efficiency comes from allocation, qualification and conversion — not only from budget size.

  • Local Services Ads strategy and lead disposition hygiene
  • Meta prospecting and retargeting where it earns its place
  • Keyword, query and negative-keyword management
  • Creative, ad copy and landing experience testing
  • Budget pacing, seasonality and emergency-demand response

Connected

  • Call tracking with transcription, intent and qualification
  • Form, chat and booking capture with campaign context preserved
  • ServiceTitan, CRM and booking system integration
  • Job, estimate, sale and revenue data joined to lead source
  • Offline conversion import back to Google and Meta
  • Dashboards and scheduled management reporting
  • Alerting on anomalies, missed opportunity and pacing risk

Paid media is one channel inside a larger system. It works better when the website is built as business infrastructure, when organic and map-pack visibility is doing its share, and when the operational side is instrumented. For home services companies, the full picture is on home services marketing.
