This is the press archive for Bluefrog, its mobiManage platform and founder Jeff Beasley through the mobile computing era. It is kept online for one reason: the claim that we build infrastructure before a category becomes obvious is easier to believe when it is dated and attributed.

Innovator of the Year — mobiManage
Oklahoma's statewide business paper named mobiManage an Innovator of the Year for a platform that let organizations build and manage mobile web experiences years before responsive design existed as a discipline.

What this archive actually documents.
Between 2006 and 2010 the company was doing something that looked strange at the time: building a platform to deliver software experiences to phones, for organizations whose customers were not yet on phones. Tourism bureaus, restaurants, universities, grocers and national homebuilders deployed on it. Trade press covered it as a curiosity; a registry appointed the founder to an advisory group; a statewide business paper called it innovation. Then the iPhone finished arriving and it stopped being strange.
That is the reason this archive is on an AI company's website. The bet was not "mobile is cool." The bet was that the surface where business happens moves, and whoever has already built the integration plumbing gets there first. We are making the same bet now about Operational AI — that the interesting work is not generating text, it is connecting intelligence to the systems where a company actually runs.
The archive is unedited except for two things. Political-contribution and political-complaint clippings have been removed, because they are not business or technology coverage. And many original URLs are dead, paywalled or redirected — newspaper CMS migrations have eaten most of 2006–2010. We keep the links anyway as a citation of record. Where a link is gone, the entry says so.
